James A. “Jimmy” Black, Jr.

Principal and President

Jimmy Black has over thirty years of experience in the commercial and investment real estate business and significant experience in the development, leasing, and management of office and retail properties. He is also a highly respected industry and community leader with an extensive personal and professional network throughout the Carolina’s, Georgia, and Virginia. Before forming the Alliance Companies in 2004, Jimmy was Senior Vice President of Cousins Properties, Inc., then a founding Principal of Weaver, Grubar, Tyler & Black.

Katie Black Poole

Executive Vice President

Katie is responsible for the day-to-day operations of more than 4 million square feet of retail, office, and industrial space across the Southeast. Her duties include budgeting, triple-net leases, and completing yearly CAM, tax, and insurance reconciliations. Prior to joining ACPM, Katie was employed by NAI Piedmont Triad, where she performed roles from commercial property manager to accountant and operations manager. She holds a North Carolina Broker License. With experience in all aspects of the property management and commercial brokerage industries, she is adept at building rapport with both owners and tenants.

Gina Hensley RPA, CPM, CCIM

Sr. Vice President

Gina Hensley has over 25 years of experience and has managed and leased retail, industrial/flex, office, and multi-family properties. In addition to property management and leasing, Gina has had active roles in managing and analyzing development projects, performing due diligence on new acquisitions, and acting in an asset management capacity for clients. Her expertise in multi-family management and her strong business development skills will augment operations and help Alliance grow. Gina has held positions as the Chapter President of IREM, Chairperson of the RCA, participates on the NC-CCIM Chapter board, and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.

John Hampton


John Hampton is responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions and month-end financial reporting for the ACPM Operations, LLC, portfolio of 60+ managed properties. He also maintains the accounting records for five investment entities. Other duties performed include preparing year-end work papers for the properties' owners and calculating annual tax, insurance, and CAM reconciliations.
