James A. “Jimmy” Black, Jr.
Principal and President

Jimmy Black, Jr. Mr. Black has a long track record of success in all areas of commercial real estate—from development to property management and brokerage—and an extensive network of professional and personal relationships across the Piedmont Triad of North Carolina. Before forming the Alliance Companies in 2004, Mr. Black was Senior Vice President of Cousins Properties, Inc., then a Principal of Weaver, Grubar, Tyler & Black.

Stanhope M. Johnson
Executive Vice President

Stanhope Johnson Stanhope M. Johnson has 20 years of commercial real estate experience, with an extensive background in investment analysis, commercial property management, and commercial development. He joined NAI Piedmont Triad in 1985, becoming a principal in the firm in 1995. He has completed multi-million-dollar transactions for companies like Northwestern Mutual Financial Network, Lincoln Financial, Duke Energy, and Jefferson Pilot Communications. Mr. Johnson earned his BS in Accounting and Business Administration at the University of North Carolina – Greensboro. He holds his real estate license in NC, and is a CCIM Candidate.


Katie Black Poole
Operations Manager

Katie Black Poole Katie Black Poole is responsible for the day-to-day operations of more than 4 million square feet of retail, office, and industrial space ACPM manages across the Southeast. Among her duties are budgeting, triple-net leases, and completing yearly CAM, tax, and insurance reconciliations. Prior to joining ACPM, Katie was employed by ACPM’s sister company, NAI Piedmont Triad, where she performed roles from commercial property manager to accountant and operations manager.

Rick L. Hopkins
Director of Multi-Family Property Management Services

Rick Hopkins Mr. Hopkins has been responsible for the professional management of more than 6,000 multi-family units over the past 20 years. In addition, he offers sound development and construction knowledge, which aids our firm in making investment decisions. Prior to the start up of the Alliance family of companies, he was the Executive Vice President/Asset Manager for State Street Properties. In addition to his duties with Alliance Commercial Property Management, he is a partner in Alliance Commercial Investments, Alliance Commercial Properties, Alliance Capital Partners, and Certus Properties, as well as in State Street Maintenance and Construction Company and Whitewood Construction Company.

H. Bryant Stoneham, CPA
Chief Financial Officer

Bryant Stoneham A licensed real estate broker and former business owner himself, Mr. Stoneham has served as ACPM’s Chief Financial Officer since August 2011, when the NAI Carolantic property management team merged with ACPM. He joined NAI Carolantic Realty, Inc., in 2002, conducting real estate brokerage activities. In 2005, he took over as the CFO of the firm, while also serving as the Supervising Property Manager. Before that, Mr. Stoneham was Manager of Finance for the Semiconductor Research Corporation and a Tax Consultant with Price Waterhouse.

John Hampton

John Hampton John Hampton is responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions and month-end financial reporting for the ACPM Operations, LLC, portfolio of 45 managed properties. He also maintains the accounting records for 12 investment entities. Other duties performed include preparing year-end work papers for the owners of the properties managed, as well as calculation of annual tax, Insurance, and CAM reconciliations.
